Snow begins to pick up across the slopes as a storm front moves in on a pair of snow leopards.
The snow leopard has always been an animal of mystery, an elusive ghost of the high mountain ranges of the Asian continent, and likely why this endangered animal has had me inspired since first seeing paintings of them from artists like Robert Bateman and Michael Pape (and others).
I've only ever seen a snow leopard in captivity, and most don't ever even see them in the wild; I was in the right spot and moment to photograph this pair of snow leopards at the Calgary Zoo a while back, and only recently was able to create this digital painting. I finally have one of my own.
25% of every fine art product sale that features the snow leopard is donated to the Snow Leopard Trust (https://snowleopard.org/about/partners/artist-partners)
